National Heroes Day 21.10.11

In 7 days, Friday 21st October Vane Recruitment are participating in ‘Heroes Day’. A charity event organised by Robin Hollington of Petersfield the father of the 300th serviceman to die whilst on duty in Afghanistan, Marine Richard Hollington.

The aim of the day is to dress as your hero, whether that be Winston Churchill, Buzz Lightyear, Christopher Columbus, Martin Luther King, your local fireman, or your parent.
Here at Vane we aim to raise awareness for this new event and to raise as much money as possible for Help for Heroes.

This is an urgent plea to all our Customers, Candidates and friends of Vane to assist in any way you are able. We aim to run a 100 mile relay on a running machine in branch within the working day. If you are in a position to help with the relay or general support it will be truly appreciated.

“It is heartening to hear how much you and the local community have already achieved since the sad loss of Richard, and are looking ahead to a National Heroes Day. This is an excellent initiative and I note that the idea has already taken root and been a great success locally. I fully endorse any project that encourages community participation and increases knowledge and support for our Service Personnel”. ~ David Cameron MP (Prime Minister)

Please drop us a quick email or a call if you would you like to get involved in the event.
